The Legal function provides legal, regulatory, risk, insurance, compliance and company secretarial guidance and support across SVA.
In this role you will be responsible for providing legal, risk and compliance advice and support, as well as company secretarial services to SVA, to ensure it complies with its legal and contractual obligations, effectively manages its strategic and operational risks and maintains a strong corporate governance culture.
This position is broad and involves the provision of advice, contracts management, insurance and risk management and corporate governance. You will also have the opportunity to work collaboratively with the Director Legal, Impact Investing to ensure there is an integrated approach to the provision of legal, risk and compliance support across the organisation.
If you have a passion for working in the social sector, are driven by excellence, and have a strong analytical and practical approach to solving legal, commercial, and operational issues, this is the role for you! You will come to the position with extensive experience in advising on legal, regulatory and risk matters at a senior level and drafting, negotiating, and advising on a variety of commercial contracts, as well as company secretarial experience, ideally within the not-for-profit sector. A collaborative and pro-active approach to building supportive internal relationships and working across diverse internal and external stakeholders will see you successful in this role.
