Sussex Street Community Law Service Inc is a non profit non government community based organisation that provides access to accountable, non judgemental and effective legal and non legal services to low income people in the community. Services provided include disability justice and discrimination advocacy, tenant advocacy, welfare rights and legal advice.

Sussex Street Community Law Service provides Individual Disability Advocacy Services (IDAS) across the Midwest region and currently has a vacancy for an Advocate.
The position seeks to uphold the rights and interests of people with disabilities who are experiencing or likely to experience discrimination, abuse or neglect related to their disability. The role is to assist people with disability for a specific issue and support them to make informed decisions about those issues.

This position will be based in Geraldton and is directly supported by the IDAS Team Leader.
A Driver's License is desirable as travel in and around WA’s Midwest region is likely.
Whilst the hours have been designed to meet the needs of clients and applicants who are working parents, we also encourage applications from candidates who are interested in working flexibly between the hours of 7.00am and 7.00pm on weekdays. Attending events outside of working hours will be managed in accordance with the organisation’s time-off-in-lieu policy.
