What's the role about?

We are looking for an organised and motivated supervisor to join our organisation to manage the operations and effective delivery of services of Unisson Works - Employment Services and to improve Unisson Works performance, efficiency, and viability in line with Unisson's values and strategic goals. You will require a strong background working in a similar role and be able to add value with your exceptional operational management skills.

Some role specific responsibilities include;

  • Provide day to day management of production t for all Unisson Works businesses.
  • Manage all aspects of the employee cycle including, Recruitment and Selection, Performance Management, Training & Development, Leave applications, timesheets, and other employee related activities.
  • Develop strategies to overcome vocational and non-vocational barriers to maintaining employment.
  • Rostering employees in relation to Unisson Works needs and sourcing Casual Staffs if required.
  • Assist the Business Manager to assess jobs and prepare Quotes for customers.
  • Facilitate monthly staff meetings, facilitating the inclusion of supported employees.
  • Liaising with Customers and raising invoices.
  • Liaising with suppliers, ordering and stock take.
  • Equipment maintenance and calibration.
  • Development and review of Safe Work Procedures for all jobs.
  • Maintenance of a Chemical Register and Material Safety Data.
  • Regular workplace inspections and participation at WHS Meetings.
  • Supporting Business Manager with development of business processes in line with NDIS Standards and Unisson's Policies and Procedures.
  • In consultation with the Business Manager, identify and operationalise new business opportunities for Unisson Works.
  • Develop accessible and inclusive work environments for people with a disability.
  • Monthly reporting.
  • Ensure delivery of commercial work meets commercial clients' standards for quality and delivery on time.
  • Maintain strong relationship with other teams at Unisson.

Ideal Candidate (Key Criteria):

  • Minimum 3-5 years' experience in relevant field (Social Enterprise, Australian Disability Employment - ADE).
  • Preferred Experience in the disability sector.
  • Financial Management Skills.
  • Business Acumen.
  • Exceptional communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Outstanding planning and organising skills demonstrating initiative when working without direct supervision.
  • Emotional intelligence, resilience and capacity to perform the work required.
  • An understanding of an adherence to working within personal and professional boundaries in a multicultural environment.
  • Commitment to the values, vision and mission of the organisation including leadership and implementation.
