What's the role about?

We are looking for a vibrant, proactive and motivated Team Leader to join our Unisson Disability team. As a Front Line Manager you will be responsible for leading and supporting your team within the program, maintaining effective communication with clients, families and stakeholders.

We encourage you to be creative, flexible and innovative in exploring different ways to support people to live a good life, creating opportunities for the people we support while guiding your team to perform their best within the values of the organisation.

Our ideal candidate has:

  • Experience in a leadership role, managing time, planning and organizing work schedules and demonstrating initiative when working without direct supervision
  • A passion and solid experience (2-3 years) working with and supporting a range of people with a disability and an understanding of their complex needs
  • Excellent communication, organisation, presentation and leadership skills with the ability to coach and develop these skills in others
  • High levels of enthusiasm, initiative and a positive attitude. Is reliable, team focused and committed to achieving excellence in the community service sector
  • Can facilitate the development of person centred plans.
  • Ability to work flexible hours to suit the needs of the service and the people we support. You will be asked to be "on-call' on a rotating roster with other Team Leaders who work in the same area.

All our staff are required to hold a NSW driver's license (P2/full) and First Aid Certificate (or be willing to apply for one). As we work with vulnerable people, the successful candidate will also be required to undergo a Police Check.
