About the role

This is a new, senior role to support our two Co-Executive Directors to manage the rapid scaling of our organisation and programs. You’ll be the ‘chief wrangler’ who will be bring high level coordination and support to our executive team.

You’ll need to be a lateral thinker, problem-solver and be super-organised. You’re going to be supporting the Executive Directors to prioritise, prepare and follow-through, so developing a deep understanding our whole organisation, programs and the context we’re operating in is an absolute must.

A big part of the job is to steer the Executive Directors away from distractions and help them focus on their highest leverage activities so you’ll need to bring decisive prioritisation and high levels of organisation to help them schedule and prioritise their time and tasks. You’ll be engaging closely with a wide variety of people from board members to philanthropists, business and NGO leaders and our close knit staff team. You’ll need a penchant for clear, direct communication, an unflappable nature, and the ability to read people and group dynamics.

Key responsibilities

  1. Support the Co-executive directors to manage their workloads, including prioritisation, scheduling and diary management;
  2. Support the Co-Executive Directors to manage correspondence including managing email inboxes, drafting and/or editing memos and reports;
  3. Provide logistical and administrative support for the Co-executive Directors including arranging meetings, workshops and complex travel itineraries;
  4. Provide support to the management team including preparing and organising meetings, developing agendas and managing follow-through;
  5. Provide support in preparing reports and presentations.

Key skills and experience:

  1. A high level of organisational and project management skills;
  2. The ability to prioritise decisively and juggle multiple projects and priorities in a flexible, fast-paced environment;
  3. Excellent written and oral communication skills;
  4. At least five years’ experience in a similar or related role;
  5. Exceptional interpersonal communications skills and high-level emotional intelligence;
  6. The ability to understand complex strategic and organisational dynamics;
  7. A passion for action on climate change and a commitment to social justice;
  8. You must have full working rights for Australia.

Salary

  • $95,000 to $115,000 plus superannuation
