About You

You are a hands-on, high-energy, self-starter with a passion for getting things done who is excited about shaping the HR function in an organisation in the midst of rapid organisational change. About The Role

This is an exciting new role with broad scope to support our most valuable assets - our team and our culture. Working as part of a small operations team to support our growing global team, you’ll play a key role in creating a brilliant end-to-end employee experience from recruitment through onboarding, talent management, wellbeing, and culture. This role works closely with the COO and Chiefs of Staff to provide operational human resources support, bringing an operational lens to how we support and nurture our team. The role will encompass a broad range of HR operational responsibilities, including but not limited to talent acquisition, learning and development, performance management, salary and benefits, and people data and records.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage operational and compliance dimensions of HR including but not limited to: recruitment, performance management, contracts and onboarding, award interpretation and compliance, OH&S, and employment compliance (covering locations across Australia, Europe, the Americas, and potentially Asia).
  • Provide subject matter and professional expertise in talent acquisition, learning and development, wellbeing, and organisational culture
  • Advise managers and other staff on policy, employment contracts, and remuneration and benefits activities, to ensure awareness and compliance with Sunrise policies and relevant local laws
  • Develop programs and processes that build an organisational culture that drives justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion

Required skills and experience

  • At least five years experience in human resources, talent acquisition, or people operations in dynamic, start-up environments with global reach
  • Highly effective interpersonal communication skills: listens to understand and communicates concisely and with authenticity
  • Excellent attention to detail: able to combine the bigger picture, with an eye for detail
  • Methodical and structured thinking with the ability to develop plans and processes that simplify the complex
  • Experience managing projects and implementing new organisational systems and processes A high level of self-management and ability to work with little supervision
  • A passion for action on climate change and a commitment to social justice;
  • You must have full working rights for Australia.
