Risk Manager

Sunnyfield is a large not-for-profit organisation with a Person Centred approach to providing services to people with disability.

We are looking for a Risk Manager who will be part of the Risk and Safety Team supporting the implementation of Sunnyfield's Risk Management Framework. You will work closely with business units supporting risk identification, assessment and treatment. Coaching and mentoring of risk owners in how best to implement controls as well as provision of insightful reporting are key components of this role.

About the role:

  • Supporting the Senior Risk Manager to continually improve risk management practices
  • Record keeping including launch of new Governance, Risk and Compliance Platform
  • Monitor and support risk activities that support the intent of Sunnyfield's Risk Management Framework including Policy review, refinement and formation
  • Development of procedures or guides including working closely with frontline staff to improve the risk management policy framework
  • Report writing and thematic analysis (including complaints and incident root cause analysis)
  • Control monitoring and testing support to risk owners
  • Close support to Safety Team in preparation of Workers Health and Safety reports and insights to management and the Sunnyfield Board

The successful candidate will have:

  • Significant experience in risk identification, management and control performance management
  • 2-5 years experience supporting stakeholders in risk management including refinement of frameworks, policies & procedures
  • Track record in working with business owners to develop effective and robust risk management controls
  • Previous responsibility for risk register maintenance
  • Desirable RMIA or RMA accreditation
  • Understanding of NDIS regulatory framework
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, report writing and presentation skills
  • Self-motivated, open minded and open to learning
