The Summer Foundation’s Housing Matching Team has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and focused leader and project manager to drive our NSW and QLD Teams to excellence. You will coordinate and lead the set up and operationalisation of work that supports people with disability to exercise choice and control and find the home that is right for them.

Reporting to the National Lead, you will manage 2 teams of Project Coordinators in NSW and QLD to conduct tenancy matching work on behalf of providers. We have multiple projects in both states working concurrently and need a strong and driven leader, who can juggle multiple priorities and clients to ensure projects are delivered on time and in full! We are a commercially focused team with strict deadlines and strong accountabilities - this role is BIG!

This is an ongoing full time role (however ​0.8-0.9 FTE can be negotiated) and the role must be delivered from Sydney.

Responsibilities & Duties

Team Leadership

  • Lead Project Coordinators to deliver on time and in full
  • Develop team KPIs and report on these regularly, taking action as required

Engagement

  • Develop a specific engagement plan for each Project with the Housing Projects Coordinator working on that project
  • Develop a region wide engagement strategy for your regions that set out a plan for how we will access people in various settings with various barriers
  • Develop a detailed work plan for engagement activities for the Sydney and Brisbane teams

Project Management

  • Ensure that a project plan and engagement plan is set up during the project commencement phase for each project
  • Monitor and track performance of project plans to ensure all projects are delivered on time and in full
  • Ensure the team’s data is fully recorded in the system (Salesforce)

Client Relationship Management

  • Provide information and advice about demand for properties in your region to contribute to the development of new proposals
  • Ensure that regular client meetings are held to provide updates on projects
  • Regular communication with key contacts at client organisations to maintain a strong working relationship

Skills & Experience

Qualifications

Degree in Business/Commerce or a health or social discipline or equivalent work experience.

Experience

Required

  • Demonstrated experience in developing and executing community engagement campaigns with success
  • People leadership and team management experience
  • Project management experience
  • Communication with people with disability
  • Understanding of NDIS and SDA funding and criteria

Desired

  • Lived experience of disability and housing search
  • Experience working with people with disability with high support needs and communication support needs
  • Strong relationship building and stakeholder management skills
