Established in 2006, the key aim of the Summer Foundation is to change human service policy and practice related to young people in nursing homes. The Summer Foundation utilises a range of strategies to influence health, housing, aged care and disability service policy and practice related to this target group.

The Summer Foundation’s Housing Brokerage Team has an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled Research Officer and Project Manager to play a key role in achieving our vision.

The Strategic Housing Brokerage Service Research & Intake Project Manager will work in the Summer Foundation’s Housing Brokerage team to:

  • Collect quantitative data relating to all enquiries, referrals, outcomes and services provided to Housing Brokerage Service users
  • Work independently to prepare and deliver finalised written products, including correspondence to internal and external stakeholders, presentations and reports with guidance from the project lead
  • Respond to, record and manage all enquiries made to the Housing Brokerage Service with high quality and accurate information

The role encompasses key activities including:

  • Undertake tasks related to the functioning of key team activities such as; meeting coordination and facilitation; generation of meeting agendas; minute taking and record keeping
  • Complete data management tasks including: data extraction from multiple sources, data entry, and ongoing database management
  • Support senior Research Team members to write case studies that may be used for internal and/or external publication
  • Work independently to prepare and deliver finalised written products, including correspondence to internal and external stakeholders, presentations and reports with guidance from the project lead
  • Manage and update team systems, such as team calendars and project management platforms
  • Manage and maintain record keeping platforms such as Googledrive, Onedrive and relevant spreadsheets
  • Manage intake and screening processes for incoming referrals

Employment basis

  • Contract / Fixed Term for 12 months
  • Full Time (1.00 FTE) 37.5 hours per week. Part time (0.8 FTE) 30 hours per week is negotiable
  • Melbourne location (Head Office in Box Hill, Victoria). Currently working from home.
  • Employment is subject to National Police History Check.
