Coordinator - Enquiries and Customer Service

Summer Foundation

About Us

The Summer Foundation’s aim is to resolve the issue of younger people living in Nursing Homes. Our Mission is to create, lead and demonstrate long-term sustainable change that stops young people from being forced to live in nursing homes because there is nowhere else for them.

The Housing Hub Team - a group of dynamic, passionate and like minded people - was created to assist people with disability to see the possibilities for a home for themselves, have options to choose from and find the home that is right for them.

The Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic, hard working and driven professional who will be responsible for managing the incoming enquiries for our Engagement Team. These Enquiries may come through our Website, Database or phone calls. The right candidate will enjoy working within our Database every day, respond and act on enquiries, move people through their individual journeys and provide high level and on time customer service. This person will also put team success before the individual, and be resilient and vigorous in their effort!

Strong and sustained interpersonal skills are key in this role. The right person will need to enjoy communicating with people, as they will be the first point of contact for clients. As an integral member of the Housing Hub team, the Housing Enquiries Coordinator works with external stakeholders, people with high and complex disability needs, family members, and others, to ensure enquiries are handled efficiently and accurately.

Other engagement tasks, such as making proactive phone calls to Disability Sector professionals, and presenting webinars, may be required. Our staff build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the disability and housing sector and engage with people living with disability who have complex needs to promote the opportunity of independent living.

The daily use of our database will also need to become second nature as we have a high level of responsibility to both of our clients - the people living with disability and the providers we work with. Our data is important as it helps inform the whole sector - working within this database is a priority.

Most importantly, we need team members who are passionate about supporting people with disability to find the home that is just right. The ability to be organised, manage multiple stakeholders and communications at once and work at a high energy level is important.
