The Summer Foundation’s aim is to resolve the issue of younger people living in Nursing Homes. Our Mission is to create, lead and demonstrate long-term sustainable change that stops young people from being forced to live in nursing homes because there is nowhere else for them.
The Housing Matching Team - a group of dynamic and passionate people - was created to drive two distinct streams of work - (www.thehousinghub.org.au) and the Tenancy Matching Service which aim to assist people with disability to see the possibilities for a home for themself and have options to choose from and find the home that is right for them.
We are now creating a new and exciting team to deliver a new program of work and we need an exceptional campaign facilitator to join us. Where we live, who we live with and the support to live the life we want are very important to everyone. The Housing Options Team will be focused on introducing people with disability and their family to ILO (Individualised Living Options) - to run campaigns and undertake online and in-person presentations across the country to build awareness. The successful applicant will need to be confident to speak publicly and have strong communication and organisational skills.
