This position is in the Vinnies Services directorate and is part of the Homelessness and Housing team that is responsible for state-wide management of excellent homelessness and housing services.
The Matthew Talbot Homeless Service provides support services to men and men with children who are homeless or at risk of homelessness in the Newcastle and Lake Macquarie Local Government areas. The services are person centred and include assertive outreach to rough sleepers, prevention and early intervention, rapid appropriate re-housing, identifying wrap around supports and maintaining housing, while utilising trauma informed care and cultural competency best practices.
The Team Leader at Matthew Talbot Homeless Service will lead a team of Case Workers that provide holistic person-centred support to people supported by Matthew Talbot Homeless Service. The role will ensure effective delivery of case management and all onsite accommodation services with the aim to achieve positive outcomes, including appropriate housing exit points while utilising trauma informed care and cultural competency best practices.
