Your New Role:

Your role as Regional Director is crucial to ensuring your team's effective support to Councils, Conferences and Members to enable their contribution in achieving the Society's mission for care and assistance to people in need. Reporting to the Executive Director, you will support the Society's people to work well together across the region to deliver and support excellent state-wide services. You will be a resilient and an optimistic operator with a demonstrated ability to lead a team and drive change.

Your responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Provide direction, guidance, and support for teams within the Metropolitan Region.
  • Lead the development of strategic plans to increase the number of Members and Volunteers and generate greater positive volunteer experience
  • Ensure Metropolitan Regional team's continuous collaboration with service delivery teams, retail teams and business partners that all aim to achieve the Society's central mission
  • Build strong partnerships with and provide accurate and relevant advice to Central Councils, Regional Councils, and their Presidents across the region with regards to Member and Volunteer engagement programs and activities
  • Ensure that appropriate support and assistance is provided to Conferences in budget development to enable them to meet financial performance
  • Develop the operational budget for the region in consultation with key stakeholders
  • Ensure that effective risk management protocols and procedures are in place to ensure compliance with legal, employment and governance requirements and board driven targets.

To be successful, you will have:

  • A tertiary qualification and experience working in the social services or related sectors.
  • Outstanding communication, influencing and relationship building skills, including a demonstrated ability to develop effective working relationships with diverse stakeholder groups across the region.
  • Demonstrated ability and expertise in project management to oversee effective implementation of initiatives.
  • Capability to promote and model the ethos and mission of the Society in all interactions with members, staff, volunteers, and members of the broader community.
  • Strong financial, planning, analytical, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid NSW driver licence.
