Your New Role

The Member and Community Engagement Coordinator will support the Society's good works in local communities within the Southern region through effective implementation of vital social justice and advocacy initiatives. Your extensive experience in working with volunteers and strong community engagement skills are key to ensuring success in this role.

Your responsibilities:

  • Promote and participate in the implementation of social justice and advocacy initiatives through a range of activities such as community events and forums
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders in identifying and understanding current and future needs of local communities across the region
  • Work collaboratively with the Learning and Development team to support the capability development of Conference leaders and members
  • Ensure that events and forums are organised to bring Conference leaders across the region to share ideas, knowledge and learning
  • Collect and analyse information/data and prepare relevant reports as required.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification/s in human resources or services, or other related areas
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing strategies for member-based organisations
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing community engagement strategies
  • Demonstrated ability to review and analyse data and effectively prepare relevant reports
