Your New Role

A job-share part-time opportunity has become available for an experienced Member and Community Engagement Coordinator, based in Orange. You will actively support the implementation of varied programs aimed at increasing community awareness of the Society's good works and growing the number of members and volunteers within the North West region. You will have access to a pool car for travel to sites with flexibility of hours but requiring Thursday and Friday. Someone with extensive experience dealing with volunteers and has strong community engagement skills will be a good fit.

Your responsibilities:

  • Support the implementation of membership programs and activities across the region including the Vinnies Van in Orange and other locations.
  • Implement attraction, retention and engagement initiatives and programs with the goal of increasing the number of volunteers and members.
  • Collaborate with the L&D team with regards to training and development programs for Conference leaders and members.
  • Participate in community events and activities that promote social justice and advocacy and other good works.
  • Utilise relevant information/data in preparing reports on community engagement programs and activities.
  • Design and implement appropriate forums and events to bring Conference Presidents across the region to share knowledge, ideas and learning.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification/s in human resources, human services or related area.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and implementing engagement strategies for member-based organisations.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing community engagement strategies for large organisations in metropolitan and regional areas.
  • Demonstrated ability to review and analyse data and analytics to enable effective reporting on membership programs.
  • Sound stakeholder management and conflict resolution skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proven communication and interpersonal skills across a range of mediums.
