Studio ARTES is seeking facilitators with skills in disability support, drama and theatre, photography, dance, visual arts, or any combination of, to lead creative sessions for adults with disabilities in a casual capacity. Opportunities are available across our studios in Hornsby and Sydenham, as well as online (work from home) and at various locations across Sydney.
Studio ARTES is a not for profit organisation that delivers creative programs in visual arts, performing arts, and life skills for adults living with disability. Established in 2000, Studio ARTES supports over 260 people with a variety of disabilities, including people living with mild to moderate intellectual disability, autism spectrum disorders, mild to moderate physical disabilities and down syndrome. Creative programs are member driven, based on consistent feedback from participants, ingrained in a culture of inclusion, equity and respect, and led by facilitators with expertise in their chosen creative practices. Bespoke creative programs and professional development opportunities are offered at our studios in Hornsby and Sydenham, community sites across Sydney and online.
Casual facilitators work as part of a team to deliver creative sessions group sessions, while supporting our members to reach their creative and personal goals. Additionally, Casual Facilitators may assist in delivering creative projects, support members in the community or at home, and contribute to running of Studio ARTES. Core work hours on weekdays are 9am – 3pm, with additional shifts available on weekends, and before and after sessions during the week. Our members think a good staff member is;

All applicants must be able to obtain an NDIS Worker Screening Check, complete the NDIS Worker Orientation Training, and commit to some self learning on working with people with disability and their rights prior to starting.
