The Manager Assets manages all aspects of the Mallee District Aboriginal Services (MDAS) community housing portfolio, buildings, ancillary assets and fleet, to ensure clients and staff are afforded safe and appropriate facilities and services so that MDAS can fulfil its core objectives of building generations of vibrant, healthy and strong Aboriginal communities.
The position leads and manages the Assets Team to develop, implement and manage asset management programs and services to achieve the best possible outcomes, maintain and add value across the asset portfolio cost effectively.
The successful candidate will be eligible for an attractive remuneration package including the ability to salary sacrifice and receive an additional 10 Health and Wellbeing days per annum on top of the statutory annual and sick leave provisions.
MDAS is looking for a Manager Assets that:
Possesses a sound understanding of Asset Management, Project scheduling, Contract Management Principals and Commercial agreements.
Has sound financial management capability including demonstrated ability to develop, implement, analyse and manage a budget for a planned works program and the ability to analyse commercial arrangements.
Possesses highly developed written and oral communication skills and relationship management skills including mediation and conflict resolution skills.
Is knowledgeable of key legislation and standards (Workplace Health and Safety, and other relevant building requirements).
To be successful the candidate must have experience in fleet, real estate management and building project management.
Business or Property Management, building and construction or equivalent qualifications and skills are required and to fulfill MDAS licensing and screening obligations.
