Our Service:

headspace Centres act as a one-stop-shop for young people who need help with mental health, physical health, alcohol and other drugs and/or work and study support.

On Offer:

Role overview:

  • Deliver clinical services assessment, treatment and evaluation and apply clinical protocols including documentation.
  • Undertake individual assessments, diagnosis, treatment, follow up, multidisciplinary consultation, liaison with referring agents, discharge planning and evaluation of care.
  • Active participation within the multi-disciplinary team, the profession specific network and with consumers, families and extended agencies.
  • Participate in mental health education programs, community based services and community groups.
  • Participation in the identification, development and implementation of quality and service improvement activities.
  • Develop clinical practice knowledge through active learning within the team and by engaging in professional development activities. 
  • Provide comprehensive mental health assessment, case management, intervention or group work as required.

Requirements:

  • Must have one of the following: General/Provisional AHPRA registration as a Psychologist, Full registration as an Occupational Therapist or Mental Health Nurse, OR AASW eligibility/registration as a Social Worker
  • Demonstrated highly competent level of knowledge and skill to undertake routine clinical practice with a comprehensive understanding within the continuum of care.
  • Ability to participate in a multidisciplinary team utilising comprehensive communication skills to establish effective partnerships and provide consultation to the team as well as government and other non-government service providers.
  • Ability to contribute to the professional development of self and others through education, professional networking and application of evidence based practice.
  • Demonstrating a comprehensive level of profession specific knowledge, expertise and skill. 
  • Excellent verbal and written skills as well as good computer skills.
