Our Service:

headspace Centres act as a one-stop-shop for young people who need help with mental health, physical health, alcohol and other drugs and/or work and study support .

Role overview:

  • This is an exciting and newly created position based at Stride's headspace service in Ipswich.
  • Provide Individual Placement and Support (IPS) vocational services to young people with mental illness.
  • You will provide career development advice, vocational and employment assistance to young people with mental illness up to the age of 25, in tandem with the headspace clinical team, to ensure young people can achieve and maintain sustainable participation in vocational education and employment.  

Requirements:

  • Ideally possess tertiary level education in a relevant human services discipline, i.e. social work, psychology etc.
  • Knowledge, experience, understanding and passion for the health and wellbeing of young people in gaining employment.
  • Sound knowledge of and demonstrated experience vocational planning and employment lead creation.
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of mental health disorders 
  • Well-developed computer, technology and administration skills
