About the service:

headspace Centres act as a one-stop-shop for young people aged 12-25 years who need help with mental health, physical health, alcohol and other drugs and/or work and study support.

About the opportunities:

Are you a friend or family member of a young person going through a difficult time? Are you interested in having your say and discussing all things youth mental health as part of a diverse group of people? If so, we would love to hear from you!

We have volunteer opportunities available within our Family & Friends Reference Group across our headspace sites at Woolloongabba, Nundah, Ipswich, Meadowbrook & Beaudesert (we also require a volunteer for our Service Governance meetings).

Family and friends play a critical role in the social and emotional wellbeing of young people. It is vital that we ensure there are opportunities for family and friends to participate meaningfully in service delivery and development. Your knowledge and experience will help headspace to gain additional perspectives around youth mental health issues to address the needs of young people in our community. 

Reference group members will be required to come together on a quarterly basis to consult on a variety of topics and issues, there are also opportunities to be involved in a number of local projects.
