Good Green Home Loans is growing, and we are looking for a new team member to provide day to day administrative and lending support to the mortgage broker.

The Role

This position will play an integral role of supporting the mortgage broker and the business administration, which include the following tasks;

  • Maintain the business inbox and respond to enquiries in a timely and professional manner
  • Schedule and confirm new client home loan meetings and assist with client preparation requirements
  • Collate and review supporting documents for home loan applications, check for accuracy, follow up on supporting documents and maintain compliance on home loan files
  • In conjunction with the broker, liaise with clients during the home loan application process
  • Support the mortgage broking manager from loan enquiry stage through to post settlement
  • Maintain ongoing support for existing clients throughout their home loan contract
  • Learn to assess basic home loan borrowing capacity

About You

The key attributes required for the role are:

  • Financial industry experience or qualifications, or alternatively a high level of personal experience in property and home lending
  • Values and ethics that align directly with those of the organisation
  • A passion for protecting the environment and living and working sustainably
  • A belief in divestment from fossil fuels
  • Self-belief and a positive, calm and friendly nature
  • A happiness and confidence when working with numbers
  • A willingness to learn and grow
  • The ability to be motivated and productive working alone or with the team
  • Open to obtain the qualifications to become a mortgage broker over time
  • To undertake professional development and learning
  • Confidence to manage all of the above without supervision at times when brokers are taking annual leave or holidays
  • Enthusiastic to share, educate and lead on ideas that can improve or streamline business processes
  • A high attention to detail and excellent time management skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Experience with Microsoft office, Google suite and various online meeting platforms
  • Previous experience or ability to learn to use financial software for home loan input and processing
  • An ability to reflect on business systems and processes and identify ways to improve them

This is a part time role of 15-20 flexible hours per week. Working close to home in the northern suburb of Preston, with the potential to work in the office or at home. Attractive remuneration will be offered commensurate with your skills and experience.

It is anticipated that the available hours will increase within 12 months.
