As our Sustainable Environment Officer, you’ll lead the development and delivery of environmental initiatives to support Council’s transition to zero corporate emissions.

You’ll work in partnership with internal teams to champion and drive environmental projects to achieve Council’s climate emergency objectives as well as track, monitor and report on Council’s environmental performance.

For this position, we’re looking for a motivated and enthusiastic professional with:

  • An understanding of climate change, greenhouse gas emissions and resource management in an organisational context
  • Experience in the design and implementation of corporate emission reduction projects
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary teams to facilitate cross-organisational projects
  • Proven ability to build relationships and gain buy-in and support from key stakeholders initiative and autonomy to innovate and explore continuous improvement opportunities
