St Kilda Community Housing Ltd was formed in 1984 to provide housing for low-income singles over 18 years of age. We currently support 350 residents in 21 properties.

This exciting role is focused on managing tenancies at a range of our properties. Responsibilities include working with partner agencies, processing referrals, interviewing and selecting potential tenants, managing maintenance requests and linking our residents with appropriate support services. The ultimate aim of the role is to assist people to maintain successful tenancies.

THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT WILL HAVE:

  • Well-developed written and communication skills
  • Demonstrated high degree of initiative and problem-solving
  • Demonstrated capacity to work and engage with people with complex needs
  • A commitment to social justice
  • Ability to work cohesively in a team setting
  • A flexible approach to work.
  • A current drivers license

DESIRABLE

  • Experience in tenancy management, including working in Chintaro or other tenancy management systems
  • Understanding of various legal requirements including the Residential Tenancies Act, the Victorian Housing Register and the Charter of Human Rights
  • Qualifications in a Social Science or related discipline

HOURS AND SALARY

This is a 0.9EFT position based in St Kilda. Salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2021 (SCHADS) Level 4 and Level 5. This will be determined based on your skills and experience.
