About the Opportunity

Our St John Fundraising team is growing in 2021 and seeking to welcome a new team member in this exciting opportunity of permanent part time (4 days per week). Reporting to the Fundraising Manager, this integral role will be responsible for supporting and driving the strategic direction and implementation of individual giving portfolio in order to acquire new supporters, strengthen donor relationships and maximise giving opportunities.

It has a focus on the acquisition and retention of donors and is responsible for developing and managing integrated multi-channel fundraising campaigns. The role also holds accountability for the achievement of financial and non-financial performance targets related to our fundraising program.

About You

To be successful in this position you will have knowledge and sufficient accumulated experience to implement a variety of fundraising strategies including, but not exclusively, direct mail; telemarketing, community fundraising programs; digital programs.

Note: Knowledge of and experience working with Salesforce, CRM and 3rd party fundraising platforms is highly desirable.

Essential Skills and Attributes (Selection Criteria):

  • Demonstrated experience in the successful planning and implementation of donor retention and acquisition strategies that meet budget requirements.
  • Campaign, Regular Giving or Direct Marketing Management skills.
  • The ability to engage with a range of stakeholders to support organisational objectives across marketing, fundraising, and events.
  • Effective relationship building and superior communication, both written and verbal.
  • Strong data analysis skills and ability to interpret data insights into strategic direction.
  • Experience in proactively marketing and promoting services and identifying new opportunities and developing supporter relationships.
  • Excellent time management skills ability to work to deadlines.
  • Proven ability to lead, plan and execute projects.
  • Tertiary qualifications in a related field i.e., Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, or Communications.
  • Willingness to undertake a current Police check and Working with Children Check.
