About the Role

The Project Leader role is responsible for leading a team to analyse, evaluate, select, develop, and implement new operating models for St John NSW’s Volunteering operations. This role will support the Executive and Volunteer leadership groups with solution design and delivery and stakeholder engagement and collaboration to ensure that the change process is sustainable. Overall the project is all about investing in and building our future to come out of the COVID-19 times in a stronger position.

This role is tasked with designing and delivering solutions from start to finish that coordinate people, systems and processes to best meet business outcomes. This project is far reaching and impacts on several functional areas of the St John NSW business including the design, development and implementation of volunteer operating models and asset allocation models. The breadth of responsibilities exceeds beyond technological systems, incorporating expertise in change management, innovation and operating model design.

This is a 9 month full-time fixed-term position.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Designing and delivering solutions from start to finish that coordinate people, systems and processes to achieve project outcomes through change management processes
• Organising the stakeholder and project coordination project requirements
• Identifying issues and problems and works with stakeholders to develop solutions
• Establishing effective project communication plans and ensures their execution
• Designing the master project plan to ensure the successful delivery of the projects against the agreed timelines
• Ensures that agreed objectives and outcomes are in place for each of the project streams
• Produces and manages all project documentation including training resources for end-users where appropriate
• Provides regularly reporting on the progress of the project to the executive team
• Incorporating the learnings and feedback of the pilot initiatives into the programs as required

Our Ideal Candidate has:

• Demonstrated change management, project management and communication skills
• Proven experience in managing large scale complex change management projects
• Business and/or financial management experience required
• Proven experience in overseeing the direction, development and implementation of software solutions
• Experience producing scope and specification documentation
• Proven strong analytical skills to be able to identify and articulate business issues
• Robust troubleshooting skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
