About the Role

St John NSW is looking to create an interactive, engaging, consistent and robust induction program for all our volunteers and staff members. The induction will provide for a face to face group induction experience or online self-paced, flexible e-learning induction program and classroom induction experience for cadets. Reporting into the GM of People and Culture, the Learning Project Specialist will be responsible for creating induction programs including creating the e-learning modules and working with a number of subject matter experts across the organisation. The induction program needs to cater for all members, volunteers, staff members, cadets and the different program delivery needs.

This is a 6 month full-time fixed-term position.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Creating the project planning required to deliver each of the on-line, face to face and classroom induction programs, tracking and reporting on the project
  • Coordinating the learning objectives from each of the subject matter experts to build each learning module
  • Collaborating and coordinating with key internal stakeholders to create and deliver video components of online courses and each module learning objectives
  • Create the online learning modules within the St John Induction Framework, which incorporates learning experiences and pathways for adult members and cadets
  • Ensuring that the modules reflect our St John NSW Values and organisational governance requirements
  • Ensuring that the induction programs are able to be updated and continuously improved incorporating feedback from participants
  • Support the communication and implementation planning of the induction programs including on-line, face to face and classroom learnings

Our Ideal Candidate has:

  • Proven experience in managing a large scale learning project
  • Demonstrated experience in creating on-line, face to face and classroom learning programs
  • Moodle experience in building on-line programs
  • Knows learning principles for both adults and youth
  • Has created materials for groups of various learning and education backgrounds such as rural, youth and specialists
  • Experience and skills in working in a developmental role with a provider of education and training services including course design and content, andragogy, assessment and articulation.
  • Demonstrated experience in the academic application of media technologies
