ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for an enthusiastic, ambitious Assistant Accountant to join our Finance team for a 3-month contract role starting in July 2022.

The role is suited to someone who is hard-working, has a positive attitude and has strong knowledge and experience using MYOB (AccountRight)

The Ethics Centre can provide remote/hybrid work option 2-3 days per week after an initial in-person brief and mutual agreement to the best suited candidate

Reporting to the Finance Manager your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

• Entering, coding supplier invoices, and preparing weekly EFT payment batch using MYOB AccountRight
• Allocating corporate credit card transactions and monthly reconciliation of credit card accounts
• Communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders to resolve any queries
• Assisting in reconciliation of Bank account and Balance sheet accounts
• Assisting with the month-end journals and resolving any discrepancies using variance analysis in MS Excel
• Assisting Finance team in ad-hoc accounting duties

ABOUT YOU

• Have knowledge and experience using MYOB AccountRight
• Have strong verbal and written communication skills
• Have strong Financial accounting knowledge and experience
• Have problem identification and resolution skills
• Have intermediate level Microsoft Excel skills
• Successful in handling multiple deadlines
• Experience in a previous Accounts Payable/Assistant Accountant role is of strong advantage.
• Team player with strong attention to detail
