Senior Designer

Stile Education

Being a designer at Stile is incredible. We have an impact on almost every aspect of the company. From creating beautiful lessons based on real-world science and global issues, to designing events for teachers’ professional development, creating user interfaces for the tools used everyday by not just teachers, but Stile writers— we have a huge impact. The breadth of creative work that we do in the design team makes coming to work everyday exciting and fulfilling.

We are looking for a designer to join the team and as well as contribute to our overall output, own and lead the design of Stile’s visual identity across various channels. You’ll be producing incredible visual content that reflect and promote Stile’s mission of creating amazing science lessons and impacting education globally.

Over the last 18 months, we have been living through what will be the most historic global event since the Second World War. It’s scary, it’s confusing – especially for our youngest citizens – and misinformation is rife. It is more important than ever that our schools are armed with the tools, resources and training they need to guide our students. Not just to understand the facts of this pandemic, though that is of course important, but how to stop and critically evaluate those facts for themselves.

We create world-class resources for science teachers (we call them superheroes, because… they are). Stile’s resources are used by 1 in 3 Australian secondary schools. All our resources are delivered through our web-based teaching and learning platform and it’s all been built right here in Australia. Every single day, over 100,000 students and 8,000 teachers around the country (and increasingly around the world) use our resources.

Hours and location

This is a full time, permanent role with some flexible work hours. While we think collaboration in an office environment is an important part of building the best possible resources. We also appreciate that working from home or away from the office both offers time to really concentrate and the flexibility needed in modern life. Need to pick up the kids? No worries – we’re all about what you achieve, not the hours of the day that you achieve it.

As part of the social distancing measures being put in place to curb the spread of COVID-19, we’re currently working fully remote, so you’ll need to be able to work from home. In normal times, our (awesome) office is located on Exhibition Street in Melbourne CBD.
