School Experience Manager - Account Management - Flexible Location

Stile Education

We’re living through what will be the most historic global event since the Second World War. It’s scary, it’s confusing - especially for our youngest citizens - and misinformation is rife. It is more important than ever that our schools are armed with the tools, resources and training they need to guide our students. Not just to understand the facts of this pandemic, though that is of course important, but how to stop and critically evaluate those facts for themselves.

To get a bit of a feel for what we do, check out our latest lesson on the COVID-19 Pandemic.

We create world-class resources for science teachers (we call them superheroes, because… they are). Stile’s resources are used by 1 in 3 Australian secondary schools. All our resources are delivered through our web-based teaching and learning platform, and it’s all been built right here in Australia. Every single day, upwards of 80,000 students and 6,000 teachers around the country (and increasingly around the world) use our resources.

That’s why we need your help! We need you on the front-lines of our team, building strong relationships with the teachers we support.

Let’s be clear, our team is responsible for making sure people renew their subscription year on year … but it’s an account management role like none other. We hold teachers in the highest regard. We truly believe that teachers are superheroes and you are their sidekick!

We’re looking for someone to join our team who is as obsessed as we are with supporting others. This is a full-time role to start in early 2021. This is not a temporary position - we’re looking for someone who wants to join the team and be part of something pretty special for years to come. You’ll be only our third dedicated school experience manager, but supported by a wider customer team and deploy their skills to the schools you’re looking after.

Does this sound like you? If so, the first thing is to read ‘the details’ below. Then, click Apply Now to submit your application including your CV and a cover letter explaining why you’re going to smash this role out of the park. Include a paragraph on which Behaviours of an Effective Stile-ist most resonates with you or which you disagree with and why. Address your letter to Katrina Don Paul.

Can’t wait to hear from you!

The Details

This is a full-time opportunity! And we’re flexible here - this role can sit in Melbourne, Brisbane or Sydney.

If you’re in Melbourne, expect to be working from home or the office depending on what’s on your plate for the day! If you’re in Brisbane or Sydney, this role will be remote with some opportunity to visit Stile HQ in Melbourne’s CBD.

This role is also open to entry level applicants - we’re looking for someone who wants to kick start their career assisting teachers! We’ll help you every step of the way.

What’s in it for you:

  • You’ll join an amazing 40-strong team of teachers, scientists, artists and engineers. Imagine a workplace where everyone genuinely cares about, and is working towards, improving scientific literacy amongst our young citizens. We hold ourselves, and each other, to a high standard, and love what we do.

  • You’ll be working on something that really matters. In partnership with teachers, we’re coaching students to become problem solvers and critical thinkers. The internet democratised information. We believe that with a strong command of science, tomorrow’s citizens and leaders have a fighting chance of sorting the misinformation from the facts.

  • Your own professional development - we’re lifelong learners here at Stile. Alongside teaching you everything you need to know to succeed in this role, you’ll have the opportunity to attend internal and external PD.

  • You’ll get to shout drinks at the pub and meet teachers at our internally run events. We also head along to most of the major conferences and events across the country.

  • The annual company snow trip (though 2020 was a loss with COVID-19)

  • A Mac laptop, and whatever other bits and pieces you need to be productive.

How you’ll spend your time:

At the highest level our team exists to make sure schools continue to love Stile and subscribe year on year.

Talking, talking, talking

You’re the go-to person for all things Stile. You’ve got your finger on the pulse for all the schools you’re looking after. You’re chatting to teachers by phone, email and in person.

You will build strong relationships with your schools, you find out what they need and what their pain points are. You will work together with the customer team to deploy tools to help teachers get the most out of their Stile subscription.

Getting shit done

We don’t just talk the talk, but we walk the walk. There will be lots to action off the back of chatting to schools and you’ll be responsible for making sure these things happen and are a delightful experience every single time.

You will work closely with the rest of the team to develop and implement awesome ways to engage teachers. We’re a team who love to help each other do our best.

You’ll be keeping immaculate records of all your interactions with schools. We are the voice of teachers and the more we know about schools and teachers, the more we can build a better product to achieve our mission.

A bit more about you:

  • You love people. You’re really good at building rapport.
  • Maybe you’ve got teaching experience, maybe you’ve done some account management before, maybe not. That’s ok - we’re looking for someone with passion who can grow into this role.
  • You’re comfortable with using technology. You love digging into data.
  • You're eager to learn. Super eager. You soak up feedback, incorporate it, and are constantly driven to be better. You can't help it.
  • You’re self-motivated, organised and can work independently.
  • You're smart, and you love to get shit done.

As part of the social distancing measures being put in place to curb the spread of COVID-19, we’re currently working fully remote, so you’ll need to be able to work from home. In normal times, our (awesome) office is located on Exhibition Street in Melbourne CBD.
