Stile Education

Stile creates world-class resources for science teachers. Resources that help them bring their classes to life. Our resources are used by 1 in 3 Australian secondary schools. All our resources are delivered through our web-based teaching and learning platform and it’s all been built right here in Melbourne. Every single day, over 100,000 students and 8,000 teachers around the country (and increasingly around the world) use our resources.

In the past nine years, Stile has grown from a small start up to over 50 employees and it’s only just the beginning... We’re growing in Melbourne and expanding internationally (to the US)!

And we want to do it quite quickly...

Our success over these past years are driven by the incredible people at Stile. Made up of educators, scientists, engineers, and designers, everyday our ‘Stilists’ are driven by our mission to increase science literacy and critical thinking.

As we approach a decade into the science education space, we’re looking at the next chapter of Stile and that includes growing our 50-person ‘dream team’ to 150 across Australia and the US in the next few years. This isn’t a growth spurt by any means, it's a continuous, genuine growth phase.

Here’s where you come in:

We need a talented in-house Recruiter to help us attract and hire the best people to grow our passionate team. We’re thinking recruitment strategies, networking events, and advising our hiring managers on the best hiring practices. But dream big; the sky’s the limit. You’ll be the first person in this role so we’ll be taking our cues from you. (But don’t worry, you’ll be highly supported by our Head of People & Culture.)

So if you’re looking to join and grow a team filled with passionate people, keep reading the details of the role below.

Hours and location

This is a full-time, permanent role based in Melbourne, Victoria.

Stile HQ is located in the CBD. Flexibility is important to us! You’ll be able to work between Stile HQ and from the comfort of your own home.

What’s in it for you

  • Flexibility. We expect that you work hard, but you’ll have flexible hours and you’re the master of your own schedule. While initially we’ll want you to be around the office while you’re getting to know the place, there will be opportunities to work remotely later on.
  • Insight into the business. Working with the co-founders means you’ll really get the knowledge you need to succeed. You’ll understand the inner workings of Stile and what makes the business tick.
  • Colleagues worth working with. You’ll get to know a 50-strong team of educators, scientists, artists and engineers. Imagine a workplace where everyone genuinely cares about, and is working towards, improving scientific literacy amongst our young citizens. We hold ourselves, and each other, to a high standard and love what we do.
  • A fantastic office environment. We’re only just starting to use it again properly (thanks COVID), and we really missed it. It has a huge central kitchen, where the team often gathers to cook for each other - turns out we have some pretty amazing chefs, lots of places to put your feet up to work and even shower if you’ve decided to ride in.
  • Support always. Stile is its people, and it’s important we are creating an environment where you’re supported, happy and able to do your best work. We have strong management and feedback frameworks, an Employee Assistance Program, a progressive parental leave policy and much more.
  • Team bonding time. We enjoy each other's company and doing non-work stuff together from time to time. We’ve got a dedicated team within the company that put on regular events for us, from BBQs to Bubble Soccer and even an annual snow trip (snow sports optional)!
