Board Member - Clinical Governance (voluntary)

St George Community Transport (STGCT) is a government-funded, not-for-profit organisation that has provided safe and reliable transport, social support and home care for older people, people with a disability, their carers and private customers since 1983.

This is an opportunity to support the organisation expand its services to accommodate the needs of its consumers with higher needs to stay living independently in their own homes whilst enjoying a good quality of life.

The role is responsible for the clinical governance of the organisation to ensure there are systems in place to support the workforce and provide safe, quality clinical care as part of a holistic approach to aged care that is based on the needs, goals and preferences of consumers.

The right applicant will have:

  • Clinical qualifications
  • Experience working as a Clinician or similar role
  • Experience leading a team and working as part of a Committee
  • Experience providing clinical oversight, advice and support.

Formal qualifications and work experience in clinical care is essential, and experience in the operations of a small not for profit organisation would be highly regarded.

The Board and Board Sub-Committees meet bi-monthly and regular attendance is necessary.
