Stepping Stones Child Development Centre is an initiative of the East Fremantle Baptist Church. We offer an exclusive 3-5 year old program with a Christian ethos in our 40 place not-for-profit service. Stepping Stones is seeking to employ a compassionate, kind and experienced Early Childhood Teacher with a commitment to work collaboratively with children and their families in our early childhood education and careservice. Your Skills:
- Be kind, compassionate, inclusive and honest in your everyday interactions with our community;
- Prepare, implement and evaluate developmentally appropriate learning programs and observations that embrace each child's individuality and promote their ongoing growth, development and wellbeing;
- Prepare Annual Transition Statements for children as they move on to formal schooling;
- Provide guidance and support to the educator team to support best practise and ongoing learning;
- Engage in consistent professional and respectful communication with families, children, educators and community members;
- Utilise various software programs with confidence (Microsoft Office, StoryPark, XPLOR, Deputy)
- Confidently articulate your understanding of current early childhood pedagogy and best practice, including EYLF V2.0, NQS, and associated learning and development theories and principles;
- Be committed to continuous professional and personal growth and development;
Tell us more about your experience in line with the following:
- Previous experience in an ECEC/Kindergarten setting;
- Knowledge, understanding and experience using the EYLF and NQS;
- Bachelor of Early Childhood or equivalent qualification as approved by ACECQA;
- Current Working with Children Clearance;
- Current First Aid qualifications (HTLAID0012) or willingness to obtain within probationary period;
- Ability to demonstrate a competent level of English, both written and spoken;
- Commitment to Christian values
