Starick is a specialist family and domestic violence (FDV) service operating in the eastern metro corridor of Perth. We are an innovative client-focused organisation providing crisis accommodation, outreach services and holistic support to women and children.

The Women's Counsellor provides specialist FDV counselling to women residing in Starick's refuges and outreach programs.

Essential criteria for the position:

• An understanding of FDV and its impacts on women and family functioning
• Understanding of FDV trauma informed practice, including experience in developing safety plans and risk assessments with and for women and their children
• Experience in working in a multi-disciplinary team
• Knowledge of cross-cultural issues for Aboriginal and CaLD women
• Relevant qualifications in Social Work, Psychology or Counselling
