The Organisation

St Andrews Village, Ballina is a leading not-for-profit provider of residential aged care with a rich local history over 30 years. Located in the beautiful Northern Rivers region of NSW, 20 minutes’ drive from Byron Bay and an hour’s drive from Queensland’s Gold Coast.

The Position

We are looking for passionate Care Service Employees (CSE) to join the team and assist in providing the best care for our residents on a daily basis. The Care Service Employees is responsible for providing assistance to residents and support to the multidisciplinary team, under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse.

Responsibilities

  • Assist residents in personal care and other activities of daily living, maintaining freedom of choice, independence, privacy and dignity.
  • Assist in maintaining a hygienic and safe environment for residents, visitors and staff.
  • Demonstrate attention to the needs of the resident and family in relation to privacy, dignity and confidentiality.
  • Providing personal care and daily hygiene assistance.
  • Assisting with medication and simple wound dressings.
  • Recognise, report and respond to changes in residents’ conditions.

Requirements

  • Cert III or IV in Aged Care.
  • Experience working in Aged Care (preferred).
  • Caring manner with good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate and relate professionally to people from diverse backgrounds, values and cultures.
  • Evidence of full COVID 19 and Influenza Vaccination.
  • A current National Police Certificate (this is obtained by St Andrews).
