ABOUT THE PROGRAM

The Community Engagement team creates pathways for the meaningful engagement and inclusion of newcomers in the Australian community. SSI's Community engagement function is informed by community voices to achieve SSI's goals through community based initiatives, developing community leadership and building capacity, stakeholder engagement, SSI Arts and Culture, our volunteer program and engagement with regional communities.

YOUR CONTRIBUTION

A position has been newly created to support the leadership team of the Community Engagement Unit, based in the Sydney head office. This role has a strong focus on providing exceptional customer service to all internal and external stakeholders and supporting all areas by handling general administration for the Unit Manager and 4 team managers.

The Administrator will need to have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as time management skills and the ability to prioritise workload. The Team Administrator will be required to use a variety of software packages including Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel.

ABOUT YOU

We are seeking a Team Admin superstar. You will have a chance to evolve the role and wear many different hats at once! No day is the same. You will be the bond between all the different teams and moving parts of this dynamic Unit.

  • You possess administration experience in supporting several leads, including finance, travel, maintaining records.
  • You are adept in producing in presentations, spreadsheets, preparing agendas and minutes as well as desk research including stakeholder profiles and briefing documents.
  • You excel in diary management and organising meeting, preparing and circulating agendas and minutes.
  • You are a courteous and will represent the team in welcoming visitors. You will also enjoy significant event support, as required.
  • Ad hoc duties as and when required.
  • Minimum qualification: Cert 4 in Business Administration or substantial experience in similar role.
