We acknowledge the traditional custodians of these lands and waters and we welcome the opportunity to learn more about Aboriginal people of Australia. We value relationships with our local Aboriginal community and appreciate applications from its members.

SSI is a community organisation and social business that supports newcomers and other Australians to achieve their full potential. We work with people with a refugee and asylum-seeking background, culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities, people with disability, youth and children and more to build capacity and enable them to overcome inequality.

Work+Stay is a new social enterprise that connects regional employers with job seekers from beyond the local employment market. It assists job seekers to relocate, work and settle in regional communities for the long-term, reducing employer vacancy and turnover costs and building thriving regional communities.

  • Design and develop and execute the Work+Stay strategy, lead, drive the establishment of the social enterprise in multiple regional communities based on the business case and start-up strategy that has been developed;
  • Working with the SSI leadership, Business Development Manager and the Project team you will direct marketing campaigns to connect with candidates and build a diverse client base amongst both large and small employers in regions;
  • Build an operational model that ensures outcomes are achieved for clients and communities and that the business achieves a sustainable level of profit-for-purpose and pathway to impact on a national scale;
  • The role will support engagement with investors to secure additional seed funding to enable expansion. In time, this position will recruit regional teams and be responsible for staffing and budget management.

You have knowledge and understanding of project management and operation and experience working with CALD and other communities. You are very organised, self-managed, motivated and are a strong and effective communicator.

Familiarity with regional relocation initiatives and visas schemes would be greatly advantageous. Acquainted with barriers to employment faced by diverse community members, you will naturally be empathetic. Entrepreneurial, persuasive and outcome focused are also attributes that will see you succeed in this unique and exciting position.

Please respond to the "About You" section in your cover letter.
