The Public Affairs and Communications team at SSI is a cross functional team that spans communications, marketing, government relations and stakeholder and community engagement and coordinates SSI's campaigns and advocacy. This broad and multi disciplinary team is responsible for bringing together and coordinating the voice of SSI and managing stakeholder engagement. The function is responsible for developing strategy to ensure the organisation is best able to leverage external opportunities, to strengthen SSI's position, and elevate the organisation's brand and reputation in the community.
The Acting Manager - Marketing and Communications Specialist - Arts and Programs is responsible for strategic marketing and communications support across all areas of SSI & Access, with a focus on SSI/Access' Arts and Culture function including the Brisbane Ethnic Multicultural Arts Centre (BEMAC) and the Queensland Multicultural Centre (QMC). The role includes the publicity and marketing of a number of government-funded and self-funded arts and cultural programs across Queensland and NSW and to support the growth and program development into other Australian states.
As part of the SSI Corporate Communications team (within the Public Affairs and Communications business unit) this role is to undertake marketing and communications responsibilities for the strategic marketing and lead generation needs of the organisation's government funded programs, social enterprises and fundraising initiatives, events and activities.
The role supports the marketing and communication strategies required to favourably position the organisation with external stakeholders, funders and partners.

We seek an inquisitive lateral thinker with excellent problem solving and organisational skills who would enjoy honing their career in a rich multi-cultural environment. Your end to end project management and planning skills will be a prerequisite to the success of this role coupled with strong computer literacy in Microsoft and database applications specifically with Salesforce.
