We are seeking a passionate person to fill our School Chaplain position to provide pastoral care to our students. Sowilo is a not-for-profit non-government independent school established in 2001 located in Kelmscott. You will join a vibrant small CARE school with a mission to re-engage high school aged youth back into education. We offer a fantastic unique environment with our unique and holistic programs. The tenure is an immediate start for the rest of the 2022 school year and may be extended to the 2023 school year. Salary is negotiable dependent based on qualification and experience.

As the School Chaplain, you must have:

• Formal ordination or commissioning by a recognised religious institution
• Certificate IV in either Pastoral Care / Youth Work / Chaplaincy or equivalent
• Current Working With Children Check / Australian Federal Police check
• Experience working with Youth At Risk
• Initiative and passion for inspiring students to reengage

In your role:

• You will provide pastoral care to students
• You will make a positive impact on the lives of young people
• You will support our social and youth workers by participating in a variety of programs, including Outreach program
• You may be of any faith
• you will respect, accept and be sensitive to other views, values and beliefs
• you understand, respect and accept all persons regardless of gender, ethnicity, faith, sexual orientation and gender identity

Salary is negotiable, dependent on experience and qualifications.
