Our Consultancy & Advisory Services team provides our clients with outstanding technical expertise that enables the successful implementation of complex sustainability projects. Our expertise spans across multiple topics including land and water management, climate strategies, renewable energies, environmental impact assessments, green products, climate policy, carbon pricing, climate finance, and sustainable finance, to name just a few. Job summary:

As part of the Environmental Impact Assessment team within the Consultancy and Services Unit, you will support the delivery of greenhouse gas (GHG) accounting services and climate change mitigation solutions to the corporate sector in Australia. As an Associate Consultant, you will also support the development of proposals and work closely with the Key Account Management Team and our clients in their journey towards sustainability.

Main tasks & responsibilities:

  • Support the implementation of mandates for Australian clients
  • Support the development of proposals with the responsible Key Account Managers and senior consulting staff Interact with and build relationships with clients and manage the delivery of corporate consulting mandates on GHG accounting
  • Interact closely with our international internal team of consultants
  • When required, support business development through desk research and development of materials for sharing with possible clients and partners
  • The topic of engagement will focus on GHG Accounting and disclosure. Occasionaly, some projects might extend to additional corporate sustainability topics such as climate change mitigation, Science Based Targets (SBTs), materiality assessment, and Life Cycle Analysis (LCA).

Requirements:

  • University degree in a sustainability-related field
  • Relevant work experience (the expectation is 1-2 years) in sustainability consulting or related fields
  • Ability to create high quality written documents (proposals and deliverables) in English
  • Strong analytical experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Good working knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications
  • Diligent, reliable, and proactive
  • Self-sufficient but collaborative approach to work
  • Some knowledge of potential clients, collaborators and other relevant stakeholder
  • Registered consultants of Climate Active would be desired
  • Passport or work permit holder of Australia
