Systems Administrator - Part-time to Fulltime (up to 37.5 hrs per week). Positions available to be based in our new Community Services Building, Edinburgh North.

We are seeking passionate and enthusiastic professionals to join our dynamic, multi-disciplinary and growing IT team to play a crucial role in the delivery of internal and external IT services.

The Systems Administrator is responsible for analysis, design, configuration and support of SonderIT system solutions that improve business efficiency and productivity as well as support business strategies and goals. The role is also responsible for the support and maintenance of custom or internally developed software applications to support Sonder’s business operations.

The role will be responsible for:

  • Provide second line (L2 / L3) support to clients and the IT Services team
  • Design, deploy and maintain Sonder’s internal and customer’s servers, systems and networks
  • Contribute to the development and responsible for the implementation of a maintenance schedule for Sonder’s internal and customer’s systems and infrastructure
  • Monitor and maintain networks and systems for performance, reliability and security issues
  • Identify root cause for major/critical incidents and, where possible, resolve or provide workarounds, suggestions and improvements to future incidents
  • Responsible for the installation, configuration and renewal of Sonder’s internal and customer’s domains and certificates
  • Make recommendations for upgrades and changes to internal and external systems and infrastructure

The Successful Applicant Must Have:

  • Demonstrated experience in the installation, maintenance and support of server infrastructure, including VMWare Vsphere virtualisation, Windows and Linux Server Operating Systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in the installation, maintenance and support of enterprise cloud solutions such as AWS and Microsoft 365.
  • Demonstrated experience in the provision of IT services, the support of various operating systems, software applications and hardware equipment, and the analysis of IT issues that can impact on service delivery
  • Demonstrated experience working within a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated experience in systems analysis in an IT environment including the design of digital services factoring in user experience

The successful application will have a tertiary qualification in computer science, Information Technology or other IT related qualification.
