Thank you for your interest in applying for the position of The Senior Clinician – Psychologist.

The Senior Clinician – Psychologist will play a pivotal role in supporting clinicians within the hYEPP team to deliver evidence based psychological interventions through supervision, education / training as well as providing expertise and direction with more complex cases where appropriate.

The Senior Clinician – Psychologist is responsible for the oversight of the psychological interventions component within the headspace Adelaide hYEPP service; to support case managers and other clinical staff with the provision of psychological interventions, particularly CBT (Cognitive Behaviour Therapy); to assist in direct treatment with more complex cases; and to provide consultation, supervision, and training of headspace clinicians. The incumbent will also receive direct referrals for those young people with more complex needs who require skilled therapeutic input.

The Senior is expected to function autonomously as well as work collaboratively with the other clinicians within the program, to plan and develop services for young people and their families which are consistent with best practice standards and evidence-based care, and are in line with the strategic direction and vision for the headspace service.

Applicants must have registration as a psychologist under the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law Act (2009). Practice endorsement or eligibility to enter a registrar program as a clinical/clinical neuropsychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia and registration to practice as a supervisor with the Psychology Board of Australia.
