Thank you for your interest in applying for the position of IT Services Technician.

Sonder has a 25 year history of delivering primary care services. With a presence across both country and metro SA, our aim is to improve the health and wellbeing of the community by coordinating and integrating health and community services by working in partnership to identify local needs and create strategies in response.

We are seeking passionate and enthusiastic professionals to join our dynamic, multi-disciplinary and growing IT team to play a crucial role in the delivery of internal and external IT services.

The successful applicant must have a high level of understanding of helpdesk, Level 2-3 technical support, advanced communication skills, be able to work autonomously, have the ability to think on their feet and are able to prioritise workloads. You will possess a strong trouble shooting and problem solving skills, demonstrated high level of knowledge of Microsoft operating systems, router/switch configuration and application support. Excellent customer service and phone manner is an absolute must. Knowledge of project management and medical software is advantageous but not essential.

The role will be responsible for:

  • Provide helpdesk support either as a first line support by answering phones, prioritising and logging support requests that cannot be resolved, and raising tickets to enable them to be dealt with in a timely manner or a second line of support to helpdesk staff in escalation and troubleshooting of issues.
  • Document application user guides, internal support processes and workflows
  • Provide a quality support service by responding or referring enquiries in a courteous manner and within targeting turnaround times.
  • Liaise and communicate with clients and stakeholders, maintaining positive working relationships and networks
  • Maintain software and hardware infrastructure and software upgrades for clients, providing information on issues or solutions that will assist to achieve or improve the required performance outcomes.

The Successful Applicant Must Have:

  • A high level of interpersonal skills to deal with a wide range of service providers and community members, and deliver quality services under pressure with a level of calmness.
  • Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills including an ability to identify effective solutions.
  • A positive customer service attitude with an understanding of confidentiality issues and sensitivity of information.
  • Ability to meet service delivery objectives, in particular deliver IT support services within a tight timeframe and an appropriate level of attention to detail.
  • Able to exercise sound judgement in making decisions.

The successful application will have a tertiary qualification in computer science, Information Technology or other IT related qualification.
