The Shire of East Pilbara is a well-established Local Government Authority in Western Australia, which services the town sites of Newman, Marble Bar, Nullagine and local communities.

We now have an exciting opportunity for a team focused, motivated and organised candidate to fill the position of Coordinator Exhibitions & Gallery, within the team of Martumili Artists. Guided by the vision of Martumili Artists and with support from the Manager, the Coordinator will be responsible for the day-to-day Exhibition and Gallery operations for Martumili Artists. Central to this role is directing and supervising Gallery Officers and Community Liaison Officers to deliver high-quality services to Martu artists, customers and key stakeholders.

To successfully fill this role, you must have relevant tertiary qualifications OR a minimum of four years’ creative sector experience resulting in the same level of knowledge and skills. The proven ability to both self-manage and to lead a team in a high-pressure environment, along with the ability to function in this environment and to cope with remote area work with flexible work hours is essential. You must have strong interpersonal skills and communication skills, particularly in a cross-cultural setting to be able to successfully fill this role.

The salary range is between $79,381.12 and $84,841.12 per annum. Additional benefits include 14.5% superannuation, 5 weeks annual leave, a uniform allowance, parental leave, eligibility for long service leave, annual travel assistance, professional development and a 50% discount for recreational/gym/aquatic memberships and free fitness assessments. If available, subsidised housing will be provided. If housing is not available or required, a Living Allowance of up to $20K will be provided to the suitable candidate.
