Social Impact Institute has operated in the social services sector for over 10 years. We exist to increase the impact and sustainability of leaders and organisations within the social sector which in turn, transforms countless communities around Australia.

Due to ongoing expansion, we are now looking to recruit an ICT Operations Manager who will ensure best practice management of our internal technology systems, and provide key input and project management expertise for external technology advisory projects.

This role will enable the organisation to better fulfil its purpose through ensuring our internal technology systems support efficient business practices and allow our teams to work in the most effective way possible. It will ensure seamless integrations so that we have a high level of confidence in the integrity and security of our data. It will also ensure that we maximise the use of our selected platform, being Salesforce and associated applications, both internally and in our external advisory projects.

This role will also ensure that we have a well thought through technology roadmap for both applications and infrastructure to support the organisation through the next phase of its growth.

Key areas of responsibility include:

Internal - General

  • Initiate and facilitate ICT planning for the purpose of aligning technology and associated processes with current and future business requirements
  • Prepare and oversee the annual ICT budget, with recommendations for new and replacement hardware and software, as required
  • General ICT asset procurement and lifecycle management, including maintenance of an up to date register of technology equipment
  • Managing the day to day operation of ICT systems and infrastructure including oversight responsibility for all end user technical support, network server administration, backup and restoration
  • Project manage technology installations, upgrades and maintenance
  • Provide supervision, support and mentoring to the Salesforce Administrator, and other ICT staff that may be recruited in the future
  • Evaluating technology risks and maintain Social Impact Institutes network disaster recovery plan and backup procedures
  • Develop and maintain up to date documentation of all ICT system

Internal Salesforce Solution Management

  • Play an integral role in the design, development and integrity of the SII internal Salesforce environment
  • Ensure new or upgraded solutions are fit for purpose and provide improvements in efficiency, data integrity and user experience
  • Assess the impact of new requirements on Salesforce and all upstream and downstream applications, systems and processes
  • Work with our management team to establish suitable processes to support administrative, development, and change management activities.

External Advisory Salesforce Solution Management

  • Engage with potential and existing external customers in relation to delivery of Salesforce Solution advisory projects
  • Pro-actively and positively engage with potential and existing customers to understand their requirements, including the nature of their business, their operational structures, their internal team capacity, and the desired experience for their customers
  • Engage with customers in the design of Salesforce Solutions, providing guidance to ensure a solution is developed specific to the customer requirements and capacity
  • Provide input into project scoping and the development of project budgets and quotations for all technology components of external advisory work

Salesforce Support

  • Ensure the Salesforce Administrator is fulfilling all the requirements of the Salesforce support role, for internal and external customers
  • Keep abreast of new Salesforce features and functionality and provide recommendations for process improvements to internal and external system users supported by Social Impact Institute

Salesforce Data Management

  • Ensure the Salesforce Administrator is fulfilling all requirements for Salesforce data management
  • Review and implement data management strategies and tasks to implement optimum usage of data storage on salesforce
  • Project manage data migration and data cleaning processes
  • Manage and maintain data feeds and integrations with other Social Impact Institute business systems

Key Skills & Experience

Qualifications Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or similar.
  • Salesforce Administrator certification (ADM201) or Salesforce Advanced Administrator certificate (ADM211).
  • At least one relevant Salesforce Consultant certificate
  • Class C NSW Driver’s License.

Experience/Skill Level

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience working in ICT Operations
  • At least 5 years’ experience managing IT implementations and other complex projects with multiple stakeholders
  • Strong understanding of the Salesforce platform, with the ability to build custom objects, formula fields, process builders, workflows, flows, actions, custom views and other content of intermediate to advanced complexity
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce best practices and functionality
  • Demonstrated experience in successfully leading projects to completion
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
