Social Impact Hub is an innovative and growing social enterprise that collaborates closely with change-makers, for purpose organisations, corporates and government to drive change across Australia's impact ecosystem.

We're looking for an ambitious Marketing and Events Coordinator (or Manager) that can bring their talents for writing engaging content, socials and thought leadership to support our advisory services, education programs and events. The role provides a unique opportunity for you to work across the organisation and promote the services and initiatives that Social Impact Hub provides to social enterprises and impact investors.

ROLE DESCRIPTION

As our Marketing & Events Coordinator (or Manager), you will be primarily responsible for implementing and optimising Social Impact Hub’s brand, marcomms and events. This includes coordinating with the team to source inputs for our content, thought leadership and social media pipeline, as well as supporting key events that we run with our impact partners.

Depending on the person’s experience, there is potential for this role to be either at a Coordinator or Manager level.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

Marketing & Communication:

  • Working collaboratively with relevant team members to source ideas and inputs so that you can develop and distribute compelling content to our target audiences. This includes developing monthly newsletters, social media engagement, EDMs, press releases and blog posts;
  • Maintaining Social Impact Hub’s marketing and communications documents, processes and technology, including our marketing and content calendars, thought-leadership pipeline and website;
  • Support the Hub's marketing branding strategy work, working with relevant team members and external agencies where relevant;
  • Developing and implement marketing campaigns in collaboration with relevant team members to encourage applications to key Social Impact Hub programs.

Events:

  • Work alongside our advisory, education and leadership team to help plan, promote and execute our online and live events.
  • Develop engaging promotional content that gets our audiences excited and turning up to our events.
  • Identify opportunities for our team, consultants and Board to speak at events or on panels to help build our brand and reputation in the impact sector.

Broader organisational responsibilities:

  • Provide the leadership team and Board with quarterly reports on the overall performance of key marketing activities, including engagement across our different communications channels (e.g. Linkedin, Newsletter and Website).
  • Stay abreast of sector developments, market insights and benchmarking and provide relevant insights to the Social Impact Hub team in a timely manner, as relevant.

The final list of responsibilities will be agreed with the successful candidate, based on their individual strengths, capabilities and capacity (eg. full time or part-time), with other support contracted as required.

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

  • Relevant experience in a marketing, communications or events related role;
  • Strong project coordination skills;
  • Relevant tertiary education qualifications;
  • A sharp eye for detail - you'll be the external voice for our brand so we're looking for someone with excellent communication, written and verbal skills;
  • Accustomed to using foundational marketing and communication technologies (including Linkedin, Squarespace, Humanitix etc.);
  • Basic graphic design experience using Canva and/or PowerPoint.

NOT A DEAL BREAKER, BUT WE'D LOVE TO SEE

  • At least 3-5 years’ experience in a marketing, communications or events related role in the social sector.
  • General knowledge of at least one of the Social Impact Hub’s areas of work. This includes impact investing, social enterprise development, impact measurement, philanthropy, corporate social responsibility etc.
  • Experience with SEM and SEO. This may include facilitating advertising Google AdWords and creating and optimising social media advertising campaigns.
  • Experience developing marketing, branding or communications strategies.
  • Advanced graphic design experience to help visualise compelling pitch decks and social content.
  • Experience in supporting or coordinating events.

REPORTING & REMUNERATION

The Marketing and Events Coordinator (or Manager) has the potential to be a part time or full time role for the right candidate (3-5 days per week, or 5 days per week during school hours). We support flexible work arrangements and applicants who would like to work part-time/flexible hours are encouraged to apply.

The role reports to Social Impact Hub’s Head of Mobilising Capital & Operations. Work plans and KPIs will be agreed on a quarterly basis in line with overall operational planning.

The salary bracket for this role is $65-90k plus super (full time equivalent) depending on experience. Salary packaging benefits may also be available.

The role is based at the Social Impact Hub in Edgecliff, with likely 2-3 days per week working from the office (usually Mondays, Tuesdays and/or Thursdays).
