The Program Worker works as part of a small team within the Care Connect Suicide Aftercare Program across Kempsey and Bellingen LGA’s. This role provides short-term psychological intervention and support to people at risk of suicide or self-harm with support provided in a range of settings including outreach. The role also contributes to a weekend referral intake and assessment roster.

This role requires someone with sound case management and assertive outreach support skills and knowledge of recovery-orientated support and trauma-informed care in suicide prevention would be an advantage. Experience in undertaking community engagement with diverse communities and creation of referral pathways and community education responses would also be beneficial.
