Social Futures are seeking an individual with a firm grasp and understanding of the employment services industry, with a proven track record of successful employment and training outcomes. The applicant with have a strong understanding of emerging issues, trends, and barriers facing communities of the Northern Rivers Region & respective LGA’s. The ideal candidate will have an expertise in assisting residents to secure long term employment outcomes and a demonstrated understanding of local industries and employment markets.
As a Program Worker within the Housing and Employment team you will be required to assist participants experiencing housing instability, identify and access appropriate support, education and employment opportunities. You will work collaboratively with key stakeholders, service providers and participants, building capacity and linking with opportunities for skills development, with the ultimate goal of empowering participants in achieving economic participation and housing independence.
Your customer service is second to none and you will be an advocate for those you are working with including delivering on services, but not limited to, case management and wrap around support, coaching and mentoring, assisting clients to access work experience placements, job placements and providing work retention support.
You will have a track record for meeting and or exceeding targets, you are innovative, proactive and your experience working with social housing tenants and those experiencing barriers and challenges to enter the private rental market will be held in high regard.
