About Soap Aid:

Soap Aid is a Social Enterprise (not-for-profit) committed to saving children’s lives through improved hygiene while positively impacting the environment. We address one of the most critical needs facing our world - the lack of proper hygiene in developing countries, resulting in millions of unnecessary deaths, more often children.Our humanitarian and environmental mission is made possible by our partnership with the hotel industry. We collect, reprocess and deliver recycled hotel soap to communities in need in Australia and overseas.Our impact partners work closely with local communities to provide vital hygiene education on the importance of hand-washing with soap.Together we aim to achieve lifesaving and sustainable improvements in global hygiene practices.Soap Aid saves lives!

About the Role:

Soap Aid is currently in an exciting phase of change and growth and is looking for dynamic directors to help achieve its aims and save more lives through the provision of recycled soap.

As an Independent Non-Executive Director, you are experienced in governance and business matters, highly motivated, have excellent written and verbal skills, and be honest and ethical. We also need you to have skills and experience in one or more of these areas:

• International or local experience in development aid
• Experience in the delivery of health programs
• Experience in health policy & program evaluation
• Experience with a social enterprise within the Australian context
• Experience and knowledge in Marketing, Branding, Strategy and Communication strategies
