The Smith Family is an independent children's charity helping Australian children living in disadvantage to get the most out of their education, so they can create better futures for themselves. We are now seeking a Supporter Care Officer to join our team.

The Supporter Care Officer will be responsible for providing world-class supporter care to new and existing supporters and for handling a variety of administrative tasks relating to supporter care.

A day in the life of a Supporter Care Officer might look like this, but really every day will be different:

  • Provide supporter care to current and prospective Learning for Life sponsors and donors
  • Initiate outbound calls to proactively build sponsor relationships and maximise sponsorship opportunities (e.g. on anniversary of sponsorship)
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with supporters
  • Accurately and efficiently manage all database inputs
  • Handle a range of telephone enquiries, including donations and sponsorships
  • Handle complex enquiries and complaints
  • Provide timely responses to supporter and general public enquiries received via chat or email
  • General administration of self and team responsibilities
