The Smith Family is a national, independent children’s education charity that works with children and young people to overcome educational inequality caused by poverty – so they can thrive now and into their futures. As we continue to uplift our organisational capability and embed a high performing, people focused culture, we are now seeking an experienced people partner to join our People & Culture team.
In this newly created role, you will report to the Group Manager People Partnering and be responsible for leading and providing strategic HR partnering to senior leaders across the The Smith Family. You will co-create strategies to align workforce capability with our organisational priorities, ensuring our People Partnering strategy supports the broader business strategy whilst driving positive team member experience.
As a trusted advisor, you will coach and guide leaders through complex employee matters, workforce planning, and organisational change, while ensuring wellbeing and inclusion across a diverse and geographically dispersed workforce.
You will lead a team of 3 (2x People Partner, 1x Generalist), and work within the broader People Partnering team to deliver consistent, high quality partnering.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing hands on partnering with leading a team and thrives in a collaborative, purpose-led environment.
Key accountabilities:
You are an experienced HR professional who brings strong generalist capability and experience working with senior leaders. You have deep expertise across core partnering activities. You have demonstrated ability to influence at senior levels across diverse stakeholder groups and are comfortable navigating complexity in a thoughtful, pragmatic way. You are collaborative, purpose driven, and passionate about creating an inclusive, high performing culture.
